We are seeking a junior Access Control and Time & Attendance (T&A) Hardware Engineer to support the installation, deployment, and maintenance of access control and time clock systems. This role offers flexible working hours to accommodate the dynamic nature of the job, with responsibilities that may include nationwide and global operations. The ideal candidate will be eager to learn, possess strong technical aptitude, and demonstrate a commitment to delivering exceptional service.
Responsibilities
Installation & Deployment
- Assist in the installation and deployment of access control and T&A hardware across various locations.
- Ensure installations adhere to client specifications and standards.
Maintenance & Repairs
- Participate in scheduled maintenance visits and provide timely assistance for hardware repairs.
- Utilise troubleshooting skills to resolve hardware issues efficiently, with guidance from senior engineers.
Training & Support
- Support senior engineers in delivering training sessions on hardware operation for clients and internal staff.
- Offer remote support to address hardware-related queries and issues for our existing customer base.
Hardware Management
- Help maintain records of hardware details for each client in our CRM.
- Coordinate with logistics partners to manage stock levels and facilitate shipments.
Spares Management
- Assist in managing a global inventory of spare parts, ensuring availability for maintenance visits and repair jobs.
- Develop strategies for optimising spare parts logistics to minimise downtime.
Site Visits & Surveys
- Participate in site visits and surveys to assess hardware requirements.
- Collaborate with internal teams and customers to address site-specific challenges and opportunities.
Hardware Evaluation & Innovation
- Collaborate with the hardware team to evaluate new products and technologies.
- Provide feedback and insights to drive continuous improvement in hardware solutions.
Flexibility & Adaptability
- Embrace flexible working hours to accommodate global operations and time zone differences.
Requirements
- Interest in learning about installing, deploying, and maintaining access control and T&A hardware. Full training will be provided.
- PSA License or willingness to obtain a PSA certified qualification.
- Strong technical proficiency and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to adapt to diverse hardware environments.
- Exceptional communication and cross-cultural skills.
- Detail-oriented approach to hardware management and documentation.
- Clean driving license.
- Flexibility and willingness to travel, both domestically and internationally, as required.
- Garda Vetting or willingness to obtain Garda Vetting before start date.
